Our alliance with United Rentals provides clients with “first right of refusal” on all equipment. This means that in an area wide disaster, NorthStar clients are the first to receive critical equipment (generators, mobile HVAC units, large power equipment, etc.).
Partnership with the Country’s Largest Water Remediation Force
Stanley Steemer, another key NorthStar ally, is the largest water remediation force in the country. They have more than 8,000 extraction trucks stationed throughout the country, making it the largest water damage response fleet in the nation. In partnership with Stanley Steemer, we are able to be on-site within 2 hours in mos cases. And Stanley Steemer adheres to all of NorthStar’s practices and policies, including utilizing NorthStar required forms and paperwork.
Pre-Negotiated Pricing Plans
The MSA that exists between NorthStar Recovery Services and its clients provides pre-negotiated pricing points, allowing work to be started in the most efficient manner possible.
Custom-Tailored Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
NorthStar will engage the client for critical project-related procedural data in an effort to develop a custom comprehensive SOP to be utilized during projects. This enables NorthStar to better understand the way our clients operate which translates to cost-savings and efficiency on projects.
The Industry-First Pre-Loss Assessment Program
One of the most unique facets of NorthStar Recovery Services is the added benefit of the Pre-Loss Assessment (PLA) Program. This program facilitates relationship-building between NorthStar and its clients and also provides an opportunity for NorthStar to gather critical data relevant to the client’s property and infrastructure.
By having this information on hand, NorthStar personnel can engage a project already having knowledge of mission-critical data such as site layouts, equipment staging areas, construction materials, generator specifications, hazardous material locations, and utility shutoff locations just to name a few. The “PLA” program gives NorthStar and its clients the opportunity to meet in a non-emergency situation where information can be shared and NorthStar can ultimately become a better emergency responder for that property.

Our top-quality training certifications prove that every NorthStar employee places safety first. Each and every NorthStar employee undergoes a series of training programs, including OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, CPR Certification, Blood-Borne Pathogens, as well as several in-house programs designed by NorthStar safety officers.
Industry-Leading Client Asset Protection Capabilities
In addition to having significant working capital, NorthStar has an aggregate bonding capacity of $350 million. Additionally, NorthStar further differentiates itself by providing a specialized Environmental CGL Policy that covers all pollutants, including asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials, causing bodily injury or property damage due to dispersal, seepage, migration or release at any time during the course of a project.
Unique Spatial Mapping Software
NorthStar has the ability to provide clients with spatial mapping of various data points, including property locations, vendor locations, and personnel placement. In the event of an area-wide disaster such as a hurricane, NorthStar is able to provide a visual, interactive map of client properties located in the impact area. Through the use of this spatial mapping, NorthStar is able to place assets and personnel in key locations to facilitate the most optimal response time.
Up-to-the-Minute Weather Updates
NorthStar’s in-house meteorologist ensures that weather reports are up-to-date and as accurate as possible. Realistic predictions and constant weather updates allow NorthStar to be “ahead of the curve” when it comes to deploying assets and personnel to assist clients in weather-related disasters.

NorthStar truly is a “one-stop-shop.” NorthStar’s service does not end at Emergency Response and remediation. Our turnkey services ensure that client property will be returned to pre-damage condition, including reconstruction.
